Carboxytherapy - New in aesthetic medicine!

Carbon dioxide therapy (“miracle gas”), or carboxytherapy, has been
announced the biggest breakthrough in aesthetic medicine. No wonder,
because the number of applications and the effectiveness of this method
is impressive. It is a safe, very minimally invasive and clinically
proven method used to rejuvenate the skin, fight cellulite, stretch
marks, scars, local excess fat, sagging skin, alopecia, and circulatory
disorders. The procedure involves intradermal or subcutaneous precise
injection, using a Concerto device, controlled doses of carbon dioxide
(CO2).

HOW DOES CARBOXYTHERAPY WORK?
Carbon dioxide occurs naturally in our body, mainly as an effect of
cellular metabolism. Its high concentration is a sign of poor blood
circulation. During the procedure, pure CO2 is injected into the
subcutaneous tissues through a small needle. Penetrates easily into
surrounding tissues. After depositing gas in the tissue, the first
effect is a rapid expansion of the blood vessels and an increase in
blood flow. When red blood cells are exposed to high levels of carbon
dioxide, the hemoglobin they contain begins to rapidly release oxygen
atoms and binds to the captured carbon dioxide. Under the influence of
the carbonic anhydrase enzyme and water, carbon dioxide is broken down
into hydrogen cations and hydrocarbon ions. Consequently, the tissue’s
pH changes to acidic, and the treatment area and surrounding muscles are
even better oxygenated. CO2 causes a strong expansion of small blood
vessels and the formation of new capillaries. Increases the flow of
blood, oxygen and nutrients to the administered area and improves
microcirculation and cell renewal. The skin’s response to CO2 injections
is collagen stimulation, which results in increased elasticity. The high
content of the compound also causes the formation of new blood vessels,
which leads to long-term improvement of circulation and oxygenation of
tissues. Thus, increasing the concentration of carbon dioxide activates
several mechanisms focused on the rapid delivery of larger amounts of
oxygen to the area. Combining aspects of mechanical tissue disruption
(gas penetration) and its chemical action on the skin makes
carboxycotherapy one of the most promising skin revitalization
techniques.

IS CO2 USED IN CARBOXYTHERAPY HARMFUL?
CO2 is produced by our cells as a result of oxygen combustion and
excreted by our lungs. This means that it is highly indifferent to any
organism. It can be safely considered an “ecological” therapeutic agent.

Carboxytherapy is a medical procedure, therefore it is thoroughly tested
in terms of mechanisms of action, therapeutic effects and side effects.
So it is a safe procedure that can help improve the health and
appearance of our skin.

How long does the treatment last?
Typically, the treatment cycle includes from 8 to 12 treatments. Most
often, one or two treatments are performed per week. The treatment lasts
from a few to several minutes.

The wide spectrum of gas action allows a multitude of therapeutic
applications:
the most effective treatment reducing intense cellulite, which combines
mechanical and chemical effects on the destruction of fat cells and the
metabolite discharge.

  • alternative to liposuction
  • minimizing stretch marks (60-80%)
  • wrinkle removal
  • restoration of firmness and elasticity of the face and whole body
    skin
  • minimization of bags and eye shadows
  • double chin reduction
  • strengthening and regeneration of hair bulbs and preventing further
    hair loss
  • increasing skin thickness

REVITALIZATION OF THE EYE AREAS

The skin around the eyes is very delicate, therefore it requires careful
care. Thanks to CO2 application, several mechanisms are launched around
the eye contours to significantly improve the appearance of the skin.
One of many will be stimulation of collagen production, acceleration and
improvement of the neovascularization process (creation of new blood
vessels) and lipolytic (fat reduction) effect.

indications:
Sacks and eye shadows
Static wrinkles around the eyes
Fat pads around the eyes

REVITALIZATION OF NECK, DECOLLETE AND HAND SKIN

The main purpose of carboxytherapy around the neck, cleavage and hands
is to stimulate processes aimed at increasing the amount of collagen and
elastin in the skin and thus thickening it. The expansion of the network
of blood vessels also positively affects the supply of more oxygen and
nutrients, which translates into a visible improvement in skin quality.

LOCAL ACCUMULATION OF FAT AND CELLULITE

Fat cells are very sensitive to CO2 injections. CO2 introduced into
adipose tissue partially changes into carbonic acid, which dissolves fat
cells. Increased blood supply leads to increased lymphatic drainage of
the treated area, improvement of metabolism and excretion of released
fat. This process leads to a reduction in the number of fat cells and
modeling the figure.
